UNICEF signs with
ten ministries work plans
Including education, health,
protection and social services
Share
UNICEF and the Government have signed Rolling Workplans with ten ministries under the leadership of the Prime Minister. It is the first time such agreements have been concluded collectively and under the umbrella of the Prime Minister’s Office.
The joint signing signals a push for more transparent, coordinated and results driven collaboration aligned with national priorities. The framework places children and adolescents at the center of public policy and public service delivery.
The Rolling Workplans cover the 2026 to 2027 period and were signed with the ministries of Finance, Energy and Water, Social Affairs, Economy and Trade, Interior and Municipalities, Justice, Youth and Sports, Education and Higher Education, Information, and Public Health.
The agreements define priorities, responsibilities and expected results, with the aim of ensuring closer alignment between government strategies and UNICEF support programs.
Marcoluigi Corsi, UNICEF Representative in Lebanon, said the work
plans are designed to translate commitments into measurable improvements. He said that aligning priorities across ministries and grounding cooperation in national systems would strengthen the foundations children depend on, including education, health, protection and social services.
